SRC Silver Anniversary in Frederick Magazine

The Senior Recreation Council silver anniversary was celebrated with an article  in the August issue of Frederick Magazine.

There are some nice photographs from our MWF exercise class.

About Us

The Frederick County Senior Recreation Council (SRC) is a group of seniors who get together to promote wellness offering activities for mind and body to Frederick County (MD) residents who are 50 years and older. The SRC is a non-profit volunteer organization operating under the Frederick County Division of Parks and Recreation.

The SRC was formed in 1994 by a few Frederick County Seniors, and now in our 25th year we have over 400 members.

We offer a variety of regular programs and activities. Some are conducted year round and others are seasonal. Any Frederick County resident age 50 or older may join by registering.

Held at the Walkersville Recreation center on Tuesday evenings from November through April. We meet from 6:30 – 8:30 pm.   Call Adrian at 301-662-6623.

We meet in Frederick and then head out of town to rail trails, the C&O Towpath, battlefields, and other parks and byways. Trails are off road and many are paved. We ride from April into November, usually every other Thursday.  Contact Kathy at 301-606-0064.
