SRC 25th Anniversary Picnic a Huge Success!

Thanks to everyone who attended the SRC 25th Anniversary Picnic on June 7th at the Ballenger Creek Park.  Eighty-seven of you enjoyed an afternoon of great food and fellowship.  The weather was perfect, with a gentle breeze, overcast sky, and no bugs or flying insects.

We were honored to have three special guests from the very first elected SRC Board of Directors, Carolyn Fishack, Helen Schley, and Doris (Dot) Bailey.  Each spoke for a few minutes about the early days of the SRC.  It was interesting to hear how this organization got started, how things have changed over the years, and how many things have stayed the same, such as the one dollar fee that is still collected each time we come to exercise.

Thanks to all of you who helped organize, set up, run, and clean up.  It takes an army of people to be able to run an event such as this.  Many thanks to all who dedicated your time and energy to make the picnic an enjoyable experience.
